Fidelity National Title

I have never written a bad review before, however this is without a doubt the worst service I have experienced in years of doing business. Stewart Title has held my funds for over five months with promises to pay as soon as they figure out the details. It's been excuse after excuse. I will never do business with this outfit again nor will I refer them. I can't believe they do not have oversight.

We have had an escrow account with them for one of our rentals since early 2015. For some reason (during the pandemic) they decided not to pay our real estate taxes in the fall of 2020 and neglected to notify us. In the past they have sent escrow shortage notices (seven times in fact) if the money was not sufficient to cover our obligations but not this time. Moreover, I always send 10% more than the minimum payment because our real estate taxes in Missoula tend to go up every cycle. Not only did they not notify us that they did not make the payment, the first I even heard of the delinquency was 8 months later when the county issued a tax lien. The extra money? Mark Stelling with Stewart Title is the best! He really takes the time to make sure his client's needs are met and to explain what can be a very confusing subject like title insurance into easy to understand terms. Can't recommend Mark enough!!!
