I used Fidelity for a mortgage broker in December 2018 and Nick Mergo was awesome to work with! Always two steps ahead of anticipating what the underwriters were going to request. Whenever I had questions, he was always easy to get ahold of and very helpful in explaining the complicated documents and terms that are required when purchasing or refinancing a home. Did a bank statement loan through this company and the process was phenomenal!!! My loan officer Derek Bissen was great at breaking things down and communicating at every step of the process. My process took a bit longer being that I was getting funded for a condo (condos traditionally take longer because you’re at the mercy of the condo board). But even with that my timeframe from pre-approval to closing was exactly 40 days, which is lightning fast considering it was a condo. I’m sure a single-family home would take even less time. I would recommend Derek to anyone seeking a mortgage, especially self-employed people like myself.
