A failing fire suppression system is flooding apartments at an alarming rate in this complex. This week 3 apartments (247, 248 & 249) were flooded with propylene glycol when a sprinkler head went off for no reason. Two months ago, the same thing happened to us when a sprinkler went off for no reason in the unit above us, flooding 2 apartments (44 & 45). A few days earlier, the same thing happened to unit 69, before that it was units 77 & 78. If you are lucky your flood will occur early in the week and you will be able to return to your apartment by the weekend. But the last flood was pretty bad, it will probably take a few weeks for those folks to return home (and two of those families just moved in). Fairfield Properties is silent on why this is happening. Everyone gives a different answe

Last night several more apartments were flooded with propylene glycol by a malfunctioning fire suppression system. We are in our tenth month at Fairfield North in Port Jefferson. So far, my wife and I love this place the community and the apartment. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Maintenance staff are courteous polite but most importantly they get the job done. We are happy Fairfield are continually making upgrades to the grounds.

I have been living here for just a little bit over a year now I'm going to give you the good the bad and The Ugly not necessarily in that order first The Bad and The Ugly when we first decided to live here we came for a visit we assumed it was a gated community by the presence of gates but quickly learned that one of the gates does not work which is the equivalent of not having a gate for months they said a gate was on order and finally the gate came in it was there for one day and someone must have hit it and it was thrown to the side never to reappear again not sure why how hard is it to have a gate in place other communities have gates in place there should be cameras set up if someone is taking down the gates on our initial visit before we decided to sign our lease we were told that th

I lived at Fairfield for 8 years. In the past year the security is non existent. Cars are beginning broken into, gates smashed , my car has been keyed 3 times this month and have gas siphoned from some tanks. There are times when walker come and I have found drug users asleep by dumpsters and the dog walk . The CVS opened 24 hour parking lot next door is a a hangout for drug users and homeless and opened to our community . There is a need for Fairfield to install cameras , increase security and take this seriously . I’m more than willing to pay the rent increases but use the funds to protect us !!!
