Emory Woods Apartments

This place is badly run. The leasing office ignores problems, and maintenance has come into my apartment without proper knocking. The apartment has constant cockroaches, geckos, and an AC that barely works. Nothing gets fixed no matter how many times you report it. My car was broken into weeks ago, and the leasing office didn’t care at all. Resident safety and basic maintenance are clearly not a priority here. Management needs to be replaced with people who actually do their job.

I live in Emory Woods Apartmentso and love everything about my place. Very nice staff and a great area to be with everything near for food and entertainment. Best place I've ever lived for being a socialite.

I loved living in this community, and still maintain friendships with many of my former neighbors. The service was usually very quick and responsive. For instance, right before my first child was born two years ago, the heater completely stopped working. The maintenance crew (aka Freddy, who is a great guy) came quickly and got the heater replaced before we got home from the hospital. The community is very interesting, a mix of PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, blue-collar folks, young families, and some older neighbors who have been there a long time. I found living in this diverse community at Emory Woods to be very rewarding. JR comes off as a bit cold, but has a big heart and actually takes very good care of some of the older residents. DO NOT MOVE HERE. These apartments are awful, incredibly outdated, and the staff here does not care about you-at all. A few days ago, with no warning, they cut off the power to have the power lines worked on. I understand it was necessary, but what I don’t understand is why the staff cannot take the time to send an email to inform residents that the power would be cut off. I have children and was in the middle of preparing food when the power was cut with absolutely no warning. Doesn’t end there. A few months before this they needed to work on a pipe and cut our water off, ONCE AGAIN with NO WARNING OR EMAIL FROM THE STAFF. We had to go without water for HOURS while this happened-to the point where I had to go to Publix and BUY water. They never opened the pool last year claiming they

My family and I have been living here for about 3 months and we love it. Positives *Very friendly and united community. *Maintenance is fast and reliable. *Great location, near walk distance of everything. *Affordable monthly rates. Cons *Outside of buildings could use a little painting. * No light bulbs in bedrooms (weird I know).
