Embassy Tower

I recently had a maintenance emergency and want to recognize the Embassy Towers staff who responded promptly and efficiently. Brent arrived right away to address the urgent issue, another gentleman whose name I didn't catch then came to identify the source of the problem, and then Raul Umana arrived (after working hours!) to fix the issue - which ultimately took about an hour. All were professional, efficient, diligent and kind. Thank you!

I have rented several places, in multiple cities, over the last eighteen years (10+), and this is easily one of the worst of them. Unhealthy living conditions, pervasive rat, roach, and horsefly infestations, constant package theft, a total lack of amenities and ADA accommodations (despite what the website states), a revolving door of totally inept, rude, and neglectful leasing and property management staff (by my calculation, very few people employed by Embassy (and/or UIP) last for longer than 3-5 months), and a building in almost total disrepair. Worst of all is that they are charging comparable rent prices to apartment communities across the city with far and away better and safer accommodations. I am a current resident and I have not had heat since Dec 7th. Do not live here, or any of their parent company's buildings (UIP Property Management). The 2 HVAC units have been broken for months, the bedroom one was fixed last week (53 days after the maintenance request), but the main one is still broken and they have said they don't know when it will be fixed. I would be less frustrated if they had answered my request for rent abatement, but they keep saying that it will be discussed after the issue is resolved, which is unhelpful and honestly sketchy. So unless you want to pay for an apartment that does not meet the legal DC tenancy requirements, I would stay away.

I have had a very pleasant experience at this residence and I recently renewed my lease. The renewal process, as well as any other question Ive had during my time here has always easy and smooth thanks to Joshua, the Resident Coordinator, who is extraordinarily responsive, helpful and kind!

My son was moving into the Embassy Tower Apartments from out of state. We were assured the unit was clean. When we arrived they said it was a basement apartment. We were never told it was below ground. They called it a terrace apartment. When were stepped off the elevator the smell was awful, like a sewer leak. When we entered the apartment it was dark and smelled just as bad. The windows were below ground with a ladder and metal grates covering the top. Very unsafe if there was a fire or a leak of some sort. This is unacceptable kiving conditions. Thankfully Josh the resident manager was there.
