Elan Playa Mar

One word GROSS. If you like living with mice, termites, bugs, loud construction, and a lazy property manager this is the perfect spot for you. This place is so unkept and keeps going from one terrible management company to another. Plus construction is so loud across the street you’ll get zero peace. They operate all day and sometimes at night. I’ve literally felt my unit floor move from the construction. Also with there being no central air you need to have the windows open so it’s inevitable that you’ll hear so much noise. Plus the parking/towing here is ridiculous. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE SAVING A FEW DOLLARS IS NOT WORTH YOUR PEACE OR HEALTH.

All in all don’t live here Pros: Location: Great area, close to the beach super safe. Maintenance : Eric is nice and very helpful addresses issues quickly. Unit: No downstairs or upstairs neighbors. Price: Very affordable for Encinitas. Cons: Everything else. Management : No one is ever in the office. First red flag. So don't expect them to be quick or helpful with anything. Exterior Property: Not very kept, some neighbors are really messy. A lot of construction going on MY UNIT HAD RATS IN THE ROOF WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF MOVING IN. Not very safe, they leave ladders unattended everywhere. Landscape is a bit of a mess and attracts a lot of spiders and bees. No doorbells…. Interior Unit: MAD Landlord specials. These units are not really updated…old appliances, old cabinetry, rust

My partner and I took a tour of Elan Playa Mar with the manager, Tammy, and had a great experience. Tammy was professional and answered all the questions my partner and I asked. She went above and beyond helping us find a unit that fit our budget and preferences. We're looking forward to working with her more - thank you Tammy!

The new management company is great!! Tammy and Antonio are always available to help with any issues, and the maintenance team is amazing as well! We had a leak late one evening and Eric came over right away to take care of it.

unbelievable Friday at work all day at 8/23/24 they tried to tow my car in my parking spot with my sticker on the windshield . now it is the sticker off my old truck but have received my new plates yet from the dealership to even register my new 2024 Toyota. with elan apt. If it wasn't for the kid that knocked on my door to let me know they where towing on a Friday night.Elan manager they have my cell number couldn't they just called me and gave me a heads up. Would have told them to wait on a plate to register the car with Elan Parking. This place is so unprofessional and has no respect. They are in big business with Towing company and using hard working people's money to stay in bussiness so disrespectful.
