Econ Inspections

I recently had a home inspection completed and it was extremely thorough. I was able to use the information to negotiate a better price on a home I was buying because the inspection identified repairs that needed to be completed. I also had a wind mitigation report completed and I obtained a better insurance quote because of the report. The reports were completed in a timely manner. I have had wind mitigation and 4-point inspection reports done by Econ Inspections on three other homes in the past and have received wind loss mitigation credits of $300-$600 each year on my annual renewals for those homes.

Econ Inspections was referred to us by a realtor for a second home we were purchasing as an investment. I was very impressed with how thorough Steve was, and how much he interacted with me, encouraged questions, and took his time going through every last detail of the house. We called Econ again for our primary home when we needed an updated 4-point inspection for insurance, and the quality was the same! I will never use another home inspector.

I would not recommend this place for a home inspection if you wish for a thorough or knowledgeable home inspection. Steve failed to notice polybutylene pipe throughout the house. The pipe was neither hidden or unseen. The only way to missed it was not to have knowledge. This was something that could have been useful through the negotiation process considering most insurance companies won’t insured a home with polybutylene pipe.

Steve did a 4-Point inspection needed for me to get homeowners insurance. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and efficient in getting the job done. I highly recommend him.
