Durham Home

It is a wonderful place that gives housing to older single women. It is staffed with caring people and is lead by Lucy Moody a kind person who is doing wonderful work for the Durham Home in Crawfordsville, IN.

Durham Home is not a retirement home, nor is it solely a home for older women. Adult single women of any age who are sound in body and mind are welcome here! And it is an absolutely beautiful environment all around. Rent for rooms inside this gorgeous mansion are very reasonable, amenities are far above and beyond what one might expect---3 home-cooked meals daily, laundry room on premises, all utilities included. The director(s), kitchen personnel, and over-night staff are friendly, dedicated, skilled at what they do, and refreshingly, genuinely interested in the lives of residents. I have lived here for 9 months, and if I could give Durham Home more than 5 stars, I would!

The Durham Home is a nice quiet ladies retirement home with a family atmosphere. Each room has a private bath, individual heat and ac controls and built in closets. You r provided with 3 meals a day and all utilities are paid. Laundry facilities r on site. On one side of the house there is a large parlor with a grand piano for those that like to play and a fireplace for those cold winter evenings. There is a porch on the front of the house with a swing and chairs for the nice evenings. Upstairs u will find available rooms to stay in and a place to entertain guests, have small parties and make your own coffee and snacks. There r 24 hour staff members on duty at all times in case of an emergency or if u should need anything. Everyone is friendly and like a big family. We r located in a qui
