After a terrible experience with another new builder in Lubbock we went with Dreambuilt for our first new home purchase. They have been outstanding! Build quality is excellent, finishings are modern and they have prices that can't be beaten by other builders in the same neighborhood. Huck came over for the blue tape walk through where we mark any touch ups that need to be done before closing and was on top of making the home perfect before we move in. HIGHLY recommend them if you are in the market for a new home construction. They have an outstanding reputation and stand behind their work 100%. UPDATE: Well here we are almost 8 months after closing and still waiting on things to be fixed. Our front door still leaks air and doesn’t close flush. Still waiting for the mortar on our fireplace to be repaired. We have caulk separating from our hall bathtub, none of the doors are perfectly plumb there are gaps and zero clearance on almost every door. Still waiting on a decision on our peninsula slab of granite there is what appears to be a divot in the slab. They tell us it’s a normal thing. Out of 6 pieces this one has it? Curious. Still waiting on our threshold for our back door into the garage and a bolt for a hinge on the garage door. If you go with them make sure you check every stage of the build. From Recently attempting to build on a piece of land and currently unable to, to switching to buying a new Dreambuilt home they were building the process has been Phenominal. Dustin & Lexey's responses are always quick & satisfying to help ease the process with any questions we had. From checking on the build time to time the contractors were polite and welcoming to myself and wife on seperate occasions. Upon the walk through before closing Beau & Dustin were very thorough and particular to help point out final touch ups needed. Once returned after closing everything checks out perfectly. The only minor defect ever found upon inspection was a slightly damage dish washer door, (from installation), Beau has already had the replacement here in less than a week. Dustin at Dreambuilt Homes has been great to work with. I recently purchased a home in the Lincoln Pointe subdivision in Van Alstyne. I selected the lot and the floorplan prior to construction. Dustin was very flexible in allowing us to make changes from the original floorplan and finish out. It feels like a custom home and not just a standard build. There were times where he felt that his subcontractors hadn't done the job up to par and he made them redo it. Without me noticing or saying anything about it. Any problem has been quickly addressed. I could not be more pleased.

Our house is 4 yrs old. We were working closely with the front man and yet everyday we visited the site we found something else wrong. At one point the owners wife called my husband & yelled at him that they were not going to sell the house to us because we were finding too many things that they had done wrong.... And they were only going to refund our deposit, and not all the other money we had paid down. What??? We wanted to put river rock on two-thirds of the property, but we had to pay as if we were getting a full lawn & promised we would be reimbursed. That never happened. The back yard sod was laid over ungraded dirt so it always looks lumpy. The same with kitchen tile. We paid for our own tile, but we had to initially pay for their tile.
