D.R. Horton - Minnesota Division Office

Viewed several DR Horton homes with my daughter. Poor Quality. Hastily Constructed. Very little attention to detail. Overpriced. Very few options. No customization. They inflate the price and attempt to justify this with a builder concession. Mortgage & Title Steering. They should be investigated for fraud. I would never recommend them to anyone. There's much better builders out there. STAY AWAY. You will be happy if you do.

So I bought an investment property from DR Horton and closed it on Tuesday 4th and before closing tried to change the utilities to my name and was shocked that none of the utility companies had the address on their database and neither the Lakeville city who told me to contact the city of Farmington . I was reluctant to close the property but was assured that everything would be resolved swiftly and now even after 4 days of closing I am unable to change the gas to my name as Minnesota energy says the address is not in their system and DR Horton tells me that I should give them a different address under which this gas connection was registered and Minnesota energy refuses to have anything to do with that and questions me why would a brand new property be under a old address , so here I am r

Cheaply built homes, warranty service providers don’t do anything, they just cover up or deny claims… house is falling apart after living in it for 2 years. Cheap materials. Installed half of our appliances incorrectly or didn’t even confirm they were functioning correctly before we moved in.

Lindsay has been very helpful and friendly when working with buyers I bring through to tour homes. They make the buying process easy and have good communication through the closing process.

Be careful when buying a home from DR Horton. They will do whatever is necessary to try and save a dollar. My garage door was perfectly fine at closing and a couple months after closing I noticed a quarter size dent in the door. After getting the run around for weeks, they don’t want to repair or fix the dent. We did have a lot of construction traffic at the time of the dent but, they didn’t seem to care. All I have to say is after our 2nd DR Horton house that we have purchased, I won’t be buying another one. I will spread the word as well to anyone and everyone to stay away from DR Horton.
