Downing Hills Apartments

Quiet, usual kid noise every now and then. Right smack in the middle of and elementary school, middle school, and high school so if you're a parent it's ideal. 7-11 and storage units right next door. Staff is knowledgeable and adept at managing the place. Safe. Great place to stay for a extended period of time.

The price is decent for the area, but the apartments are older with very squeaky floors. New management has made several changes—some positive and some frustrating. One major issue was how they handled a dispute between us and our downstairs neighbor. Although we resolved the issue like adults by talking it out, the landlord took it upon themselves to file a noise complaint on our neighbor’s behalf—without their permission—and even sent us an email falsely stating that our neighbor reported it. (Our neighbor later confirmed they hadn’t.) They also instructed our downstairs neighbor to keep a log and record everything they hear, which even my neighbor thought was excessive. I am a single mother, and I lived there for 4 years. I love the maintenance and the office staff, and never had any issues that weren't taken care of in a timely manner. It's not the most fancy apartments, for sure, but the basement unit I had, had a good floor plan and plenty of room for me and my two girls.Rent was affordable and it had a pool. I really liked living there!

Management is a joke. Gaslighted me and my girlfriend into thinking that repairs were our fault. Mid / 10 would not rent again. Sad.

You will never have peace, it is always noisy, you will see no respect for the tenants, and a poor management maintains this complex.
