Douglas Apartments

Nicole, the Property Manager, is a gem and a pleasure to work with. The property is safe, well-maintained, maintenance calls are handled same day, apartments are renovated with quality finishes as they are vacated, a huge walk-in closet as well as a coat closet, and plenty of kitchen storage. But the tenants are what really make this property. It feels more like a community than simply a bunch of strangers living in the same building. I have zero reservations about highly recommending this property.

People that leave a bad review about Douglas Commons couldn’t of possibly lived here . I’ve been at Douglas a commons for 3 years this is my third lease I just signed . Rents are lower than the surrounding area . My unit 3 years ago was remodeled from floor to ceiling! And in the last 3 years they have been remodeling and updating all the empty apartments. And yes one review said they don’t take kids under 18 years of age to live here . It’s a 55 plus complex but they do rent units to working professionals under 55 . When you call the office for any repair the repair is done in a reasonable time span . The lobby’s and carpets in the halls ways are cleaned yearly . Also common area laundry, lobby , hallways are cleaned weekly . Everyone in the office are great to deal with and a big help .

We moved into Douglas Apartments a short time ago from out of state and sight unseen except for the internet and google earth pro. Pamala the Property Manager, Nicole the Leasing Manager and Lindsey her assistant have all gone out of their way to make us comfortable here. The apartment has been completely renovated. We were a little concerned about having to use a tub in the bathroom, but when we saw the apartment in person, it had a beautiful large shower in place of the tub. Matt the Director of Maintenance and Joe from Maintenance have answered every request immediately. The grounds are beautiful and the building is kept clean. I lived here for three years and was really happy with my experience. The apartment was absolutely spotless when I moved in. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. Snow removal and landscaping were well taken care of. The park across the street is a beautiful place to walk, run, picnic, etc. Maintenance requests were resolved within 1-2 business days, sometimes even within the same day.
