• Mice in my shower: I called in about mice. You would think that it would warrant some outsized response, but it didn't. I was stuck with mice for several days because the request wasn't on a business day and a week before pest control's regular visit. Nobody responded to emails until I got pretty aggressive. It is understandable that nothing is immediate, but radio silence for something like mice in the shower is just not acceptable. • Renewal Issues: When my initial lease term expired, there was something wrong with Borger’s automatic renewal system, and I didn’t get a renewal letter. I emailed, called, and went in person to the leasing office before anybody could help me with the issue. It took a tremendous amount of time and persistence to receive something that is pretty easy to send

My roomie and I are coming up on 4 years at Dorchester West and we just love it here! It's the perfect location, maintenance is responsive and swift, it's clean and the layout is nice, the staff are friendly, and it has great gym access.

I honestly have no complaints. The process of getting my lease was smooth. Jasmine has always answered my questions within 24-48 hours. She’s great! I’ve been living here for 4 months now and everything has gone so smooth. I get my packages delivered at Dorchester House so they aren’t sitting in the open. It’s so quiet. I don’t hear anything when I’m in my apartment. I filed a maintenance request about my window and the guy came the next day. It’s always clean. The elevators always work. There’s 2 rooftops, a gym, an outdoor courtyard and a lounge! It’s right next to Harris teeter. Within walking distance of so much. The price isn’t even horrible! I haven’t seen a single mouse or bug. The appliances all work well and are updated stainless steel. They even had a great free event with free f

I’m not one to leave bad reviews. You can look at my profile and see that I’ve only left good reviews but I’ve never been so angry at the way business was conducted until now. I toured some units at Dorchester House and Dorchester West with a planned move in date for May which I made sure was known to the leasing agent. I saw a unit that I liked and was instructed to apply as soon as possible. A week goes by, I stop by the leasing office again to see if the unit was available and was told yes and to apply tonight since someone else had also toured it. I applied that night only to be told that they’re only able to hold units for 30 days. Not once was this policy mentioned to me during the tour. At this point, it’s turned into a “she said/she said” situation because I emailed them back sayin

Shoddy building, bad management, lease with caution. Noise and maintenance issues are a daily problem. We’ve had numerous leaks, faulty fixtures, mold, and pests. Mold grows in the hallways and they just paint over it. The fire alarm system goes off at all hours of the night when there is no real fire emergency. They keep testing it (annoying in itself) and saying they’re fixing it, but a few weeks later you’re out on the street at 4am waiting for the fire department to shut it off. It’s a safety issue, people have learned that false alarms are so common they’ve just stopped evacuating because it’s the middle of the night. I don’t feel confident it would work properly in a real emergency. The staff in the management office are unresponsive to questions and requests via email. They truly do
