Where to start. It all began with Robert and Melissa. Robert informed us of the process, helped us pick a home design, explained the process in detail and gave recommendations on banks to help assist us through the process. Melissa assisted us along the way with permits and other related matters. Monty came in and fine tuned or home design, which was exactly what we were looking for. And then Dave appeared as our project manager. Dave used his expertise in the field to assist us through the actual build process. Dave was organized, open to communication and answered every question we ever had. I give 5 stars to all involved in our build process. Donaway homes was super amazing from day one of planning to handing the keys over. The personal dedication and personal availability of all members of the Donaway family far surpassed my expectations. Not one major glitch in anything from start to finish. My home is absolutely beautiful, amazing and inviting. If you ever need a home built, please do your diligence and at least sit and talk with this local hometown business. They all are AMAZING!

I was stressing over finding a builder. Donaway Homes was recommended to us by friends who used them to build in Selbyville. It turned out to be a great experience for us, too, in Lewes! We already owned our lot, and selected a model from their website, but wanted some modifications. Robert was up front with everything included in the initial cost, plus the cost of add-ons & upgrades we wanted. Monty was great with modifying the plans to meet our needs, and suggesting ways to maximize storage space (important to us, since we can't have a basement due to high water table). Melissa was wonderful with managing all of our selections, and project mgr Dave was great at keeping us informed of progress throughout the build. We have been in our Donaway Home for a little over a year now. We relocated to Maryland from 450 miles away. We immediately felt comfortable after meeting with the Donaway team. The building process went extremely smooth. Not being local to the area, communication was key. It was always very easy whether it was a phone call, text message or email. Their response to our needs was always immediate. We are ecstatic with the quality of everything, inside and out!! Donaway Homes has been a blessing for my wife and my self so far, we choose Donaway to build our forever home for a number of reasons, After seeing numerous of homes they had built for our friends, we were in love, but number one being how well the first interaction with Robert went, he laid it all out in front of us of how much it takes to even have a home on our lot in town, (town fee’s, county fee’s, sewer, water, etc) so once we knew a base line of that amount then he would talk to us on what kind of home we could get with in our set budget, doing it this way unlike any other builder we went to made them stand out, Robert took it personal, and we felt a big relief in that, he allowed us to make any and all changes we wanted on our home, it took a little longer to get to the step we are
