Be sure the lease he makes you sign is the correct rent or he might call a month after move in asking to redo the lease with a higher rent because he and his accountant "wrote the wrong rent" also..Make sure you mail your rent checks a week and a half early and with certified mail. That's exactly what I did and then was accused of "skipping rent" even though the post office told us our checks were sitting in his box for a week. Also went 2 weeks without hot water with minimum attempt at a timely repair in the middle of winter.

I enjoyed renting from him. When I called and had issue he took care of it. When we moved out he was fair and gave my deposit back. If you rent in ABQ they never try to give your deposit back. Thank you
