Dogwood Properties

My experience with Dogwood Properties has been nothing but frustrating. When I moved out, I was charged $215 just to replace a toilet seat, which is way beyond reasonable pricing. On top of that, they don’t answer calls, don’t respond to emails, and it’s nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone for clarification or questions. It feels like once they have your lease signed and your deposit in hand, you’re on your own. Communication is basically nonexistent, and they don’t seem interested in resolving anything or being transparent with tenants. If you’re a future tenant or a property owner thinking about using Dogwood, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. My experience has been a one-and-done — and definitely not in a good way

I rented from this management company for four years and was an ideal tenant — never late on rent, maintained the property, and left the home in great enough condition for them to post available to rent 2 days after move out. Unfortunately, their professionalism completely disappeared the moment I moved out. Despite turning in the keys early, hiring a professional carpet cleaner, and paying for a full house cleaning, the company ignored multiple calls and messages regarding my security deposit. When they finally issued charges, they attempted to bill me over $200 for a basic plastic toilet seat that had merely detached — an absolutely unreasonable and inflated charge. Austen was wonderful to work with throughout the process of finding and purchasing our first home. She was extremely knowledgeable, reliable and detail-oriented from the first home we looked at through our closing. We loved working with her and Dogwood Properties!
