PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING WITH DMIS! I’m writing this review to warn others before they make the same mistake I did. DMIS is run by individuals who, in my experience, seem far more interested in taking advantage of students and tenants than in providing safe, livable housing. If you're considering signing with them, especially for a unit at Sabinal Condos on West Campus, I strongly urge you to read all of the 1-star reviews — they’re accurate, and my own experience only reinforces their truth. I lived at Sabinal Condos for a year, and it was hands down the worst rental experience I've ever had. The apartment had mold on the walls from the day I moved in, constant water leaks, a refrigerator that didn’t work for nearly two months (which meant I couldn’t even store food), and an exterior do

DO NOT RENT FROM DMIS!!! (Annie and George) 1. Be prepared for little to no communication (unless it's about paying something or owing money to them). They do not answer the phone, only email. There are no emergency maintenance requests, no quick communication even in dire circumstances (such as no heat during an ice storm). 2. No matter how clear you are during your conditions form upon move in, they will still take your entire security deposit and not fix anything (before or after move in). They do not fix anything you ask to be fixed upon move in, and they do not fix it after. They don't even really clean the place upon move in. You will have to do that and more, and you will just have to live with the broken or damaged things. I moved in with scratched and broken flooring, despite bein

READ EVERY WORD OF YOUR LEASE. I wish I would have read these reviews before moving in. I rented a very expensive town home from DMIS is Clarksville. The day I went in to sign my lease, I was rushed (in a very friendly manner) to sign and get the keys. I thought they were just doubled booked, and I was assured this was a standard lease. I singed it and didn't think much of it. When I moved in, the unit was filthy. Dog hair in the carpet, dust everywhere, dead bugs in the bathroom, red algae in the toilet...you get the idea. I paid to have it cleaned and just moved on. Getting things fixed was always a struggle including the air conditioning and the fans. Please note that DMIS owns this unit...they were not waiting on owners approval. The real pain came when I moved out. I was told that I w

DMIS is the worst property management company I've ever used. When we moved into our place it was filthy. They said they shampooed the carpet and when I went to vacuum when we first moved in, my vacuum was full of animal hair. I had to vacuum the carpet several times before the hair was out of the carpet. Not only that, I had to actually clean the walls, floors, and bathrooms because they were filthy when we moved in. We asked for several things to be fixed when we first moved in and over half of them, the agency declined to do. We still have huge gaps between our front and back door where I have requested several times for the weather stripping to be fixed. We suffered intense heat and freezing cold when the weather changed because of this, not to mention our energy bill is crazy because

Everything you are reading is true. They will not fix anything. Lied to me from the beginning. Promised to paint and fix things that never got done. The siding is falling off the building where the light meters are. My windows do not lock. They do not answer email and will not give you a phone number to call. They pay a guy that halfway does things to work for them to repair stuff. I had to clean the condo when I first moved in, it was filthy dirty. I have a squirrel in my attic and they do not care. The other property's they own on this block look like slum lords own them. Stay away from them at all cost.
