We have been living in our home for 2 years in Valparaiso’s The Brooks. I reached out to our quality inspector Nate multiple times for a handful of things as soon as the issues around: our deck boards bowing, loose siding that I can physically pull out and it knocks when you push it, and a weird water stain in one of our bedrooms. They have yet to come out to fix my siding. Nate told the deck contractors to drill in multiple screws to force our bent deck boards back in place (it looks horrible), and the mystery leak that Nate inspected but said looked fine has gotten worse. The contractors installed our vents backwards. After we flipped them around we discovered shotty drywall work and the vents don’t fit without their being gaps. We relocated to Cedar Lake, Indiana and after several weeks of home hunting in the area found that our needs would be met by a new home construction. Looking at several locations and builder’s offerings, we chose Diamond Peak Homes. They explained their process and listened to our needs. They helped us with selecting the home plan and then showed us the options and alternatives necessary to achieve our needs. They communicated openly and provided onsite viewing to assure things were proceeding as planned. We have been working with the team at Diamond Peak for our new home and it’s been a really positive experience. Our primary contact is Eric who has been super responsive and supportive even as we considered many different floorplan options. The design team (Carly and Jessica) were incredibly helpful and informed during our selection process and made great suggestions while respecting our overall aesthetic so the home will match our vision. And Rick has been a very knowledgeable presence throughout as we talked through major decisions. While our home is not completed yet, we highly recommend this team!

**Update on last review** DP sent a message after our last review stating that we should email them with our issues and someone from their warranty team would contact us. We did that and still have heard nothing after 5 days. Stand by our original review!! A picture is attached of just one example of drywall problems. It’s falling onto the floor below Find another builder! To start off this home is only 4 years old. After 1 year we noticed cracking in the drywall at the seams and nail heads poking through in the kitchen/dining area and the master bedroom/bathroom. Then actual chunks of drywall from corners falling onto the floor. We called DP and they reluctantly sent out one of their people to address. He literally stapled over the old tape and slapped some mud over the seams and left.
