Do NOT use DHI Mortgage for your lender. They were the ABSOLUTE WORST. They sent the wrong appraiser for my first property. They never took ownership of their mistake. They denied my loan and caused my closing costs and interest rate to increase. And never explained to me what the problem was. Stay away from them.

Please avoid them, don't trust them, they don't really know the business they are trying to run. They'll tell you everything is fine and then all the sudden you're homeless. We're still waiting for my $1000 back. Real testimony. The level of service my husband and I received from DHI mortgage was totally bad. Their staff is awfully inexperienced, their integrity was lacking and their overall concern for the final result was fictitious, I felt that I was playing a children's game. If you want to feel horribly exhausted and devastated, go to work with them, the will have lots of surprises for you the day before closing. They postponed our closing date three times!. I’m a realtor here in Jacksonville. I have worked with hundreds of lenders... some are better then others. DHI is at the bottom of my list. I would rather refer my customers to QUICKEN loans then risk leaving my customers debates devastated the day before closing. This organization has handled almost every file I’ve given them carelessly. You won’t hear from your loan officer ever until there is an emergency. If your lucky you might be able to communicate with someone because as soon as the smallest troubles arise, usually due to their actions, all of their staff runs to hide and avoid the dilemma. I just purchased a new home from Dr Horton today. The home I purchased qualified for the summer new home buying incentive with up to $10,000 of closing costs paid by the builder, a refrigerator, washer and dryer. Also I got an exceptional interest rate of 2.75% on my 30 year mortgage. I used DHI title for the closing and everyone here is wonderful. Each person is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of closing on a home. They answered all my questions and kept me informed of the wire transfer from the sale of my home while I was here. I should be getting the keys to my brand new home any minute now.
