Devonshire Apartments

I’ve lived in three units on this property—two apartments and a townhome—since 2018/2019, and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. Like anywhere, there have been a few maintenance issues—a couple of leaks and a noise issue with neighbors during COVID, which led to one of my transfers. My most recent move was simply to downsize. Through it all, the management team has been amazing—always friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. It’s extremely pet-friendly, the walking paths are lovely, and the community spaces are inviting. Every unit I’ve lived in has been thoughtfully renovated and comfortable. I especially want to give a huge shout-out to Shannon, Michelle, and Liza. Shannon came by in person to fix a paint issue I wasn’t happy with.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Expect stolen packages, with little to no follow up except an “I’m sorry” from management. You’ll be able to hear your neighbors from all sides including outside. Laundry room consistently smells rotten. Only live here if you have absolutely no other options. I blame myself for not touring first.

Back again with another review after the worst two years of renting I have ever experienced. On the night before move out as we were cleaning we noticed little black worms coming up from the bathroom sink drain(3rd floor unit). It was so foul I was immediately grateful this would be the last night in that hell hole of a unit. When turning in the keys the lady I was conversing with was pleasant and friendly; another agent who I haven't met before approached to confront me about my first review I left several months ago. "I've been meaning to call you about a review you left" I couldn't help but laugh. My daughter put a deposit on an apartment but was denied. Upon calling to get her deposit back which was back in June 2025 I called today. They said the check was sent. It was not in the mail. Hasn’t been for six months. What does it take to give people their money back? She has called several times!!!

Current management is shit. If a resident comes to them with a concern, they won’t circle back to reassure that their concerns have been addressed properly. Previous management was better and actually got stuff done. The new management team here will harass you to give them good reviews. Retention with the management team here is inconsistent. Liza Cruz is an individual on the team that you want to avoid. Poor customer service from the them and lacked professionalism.The head of the management team is a red head that is rude and brushes off concerns from residents. She has absolutely no empathy for her residents here (which is surprising because they literally work with people ALL day). Also Joann Mayers, who is the assistant Property Manager, should get fired.
