DC Home Inspection Service

I really liked working with Mike at DC he was very thorough and informative during the entire home inspection. I have used his services on two different properties and have recommended him to all my friends going through a home purchase. Just because you get a home inspection doesn’t mean homeownership will be problem free. I feel like Mike gave me the needed information to confidently commit to a home purchasing decision.

We recently had DC Home Inspection out prior to purchasing our house and they were wonderful. They completed the inspection in December of 2015 and we moved into our house in February 2016 and we noticed our master shower was leaking into the basement. I called the service explaining to them what we were experiencing with the pipes and he came out the next day, without any questions. He examined the issue and he stated that the pipe needed to be replaced. He had a plumber out within the next couple of days, free of charge. DC Home Inspection stayed true to their inspection and fixed what was missed in the original inspection and they made it very easy for first time buyers like my husband and I. DC Home Inspection Services is the absolute worst home inspection service in NE Ohio and maybe the entire state. The owner, Chuck Kester, and his son Mike Kester hold themselves out as ASHI certified home inspectors with all of these specific certifications and after a home inspection where they gave our home a clean bill of health, and now over $20,000 in repairs later we come to find out that they didn't have ANY of these certifications. ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) have informed us that the Kester's have not been members in good standing since 2011 and is sending them a cease and desist order from using their logo ... which basically constitutes fraud against the consumer as they are lying about their expertise for profit. They have also been turned into the BBB, FHA/HU

Mike Kester came out for my home Inspection and it was a complete waste of money. Thankfully before closing I listened to my gut and had a 2nd inspection done by another company. Mike Kester missed many things (25K in inside/outside repairs that he never brought up) and 75% of the information he provided was inaccurate.The Pest Inspector (TNT Pest Inspection) that he brought along with him also gave me the clear and during the walk through I discovered 2 rather large Hornets Nests in the basement that the inspector never mentioned.

First time home buyer and our inspector made us feel secure in our purchase. He was very honest and made us feel as if we were their own family buying the house. We've been in our home for 3 years now and no unexpected issues. We still refer back to our inspection report from time to time.
