If I could end my lease early and still receive my full deposit, I would. From the very beginning, I felt unwelcome here. On the day I signed my lease, I was warned by someone that the office staff were a “rip off” and that they didn’t treat Black tenants fairly. When my credit was run, I was accused of fraud simply because a fraud alert appeared (which happens when credit is locked). Instead of understanding, I was forced to explain myself as if I had done something wrong. Since then, every interaction has been uncomfortable. The office staff are rude, dismissive, and quick to hang up the phone. The staff is always so polite and helpful they went out of their way to make our transition into our new home with them smooth and we haven’t had any issues. I had a very disappointing experience with this company. After receiving my lease renewal letter in November, I promptly sent it back on November 25 clearly stating that I would not be renewing my lease and that I would vacate the property by January 31, which was the end of my lease term. That provided more than 60 days’ notice. Despite this, they kept my $2,000 deposit, claiming I did not give proper 60-day notice. I do not understand how that can be justified when I provided written notice well before the required timeframe. A security deposit is meant to cover damages or unpaid rent — not to be kept unfairly due to what feels like a technicality. Crossroads has managed our property for several years. They have taken care of multiple maintenance issues. We recently had to replace flooring in one of our bedrooms and they were able to take care of it quickly and cost efficiently.

I have been renting with Crossroads since 2018 and they have been fantastic! Anytime I’ve ever needed maintenance or help on the house/property, they have always gotten back to me with hours of a request! Great people and amazing business! Would recommend this realty company to anyone.
