Cortland South End

Cortland south end is a very safe apartment. If you want something that feels safe then this is the place. I also very much enjoyed the island and kitchen space. The leasing office is where all of your issues will come from. The lack of attention to detail and care are what would’ve made me rethink living here. For example, I attempted to resign another lease and did all of the paperwork… I get a call 15 minutes later with them just telling me that they had already leased the apartment to someone else. No apology and no solution either. I’m pretty sure they still owe me a security deposit too.

My experience here was truly the worst I’ve had out of anywhere I’ve rented. I don’t think anyone looked at the unit prior to my moving in. My ac was broken, and it was 76 degrees in my apartment. The dishwasher was new, but had water sitting in it. Rust spots ending up forming throughout the inside that I had to scrub out myself. My oven’s seal was burnt out. My washer smelled sour, and they determined it needed to be replaced. They ended up bringing me another one from a different unit that also had issues. Soon after I moved in, my dryer broke. It was 4 months before I had a functioning washer and dryer at the same time. While I was waiting, I had to follow up multiple times for updates and was told they were waiting on new ones to come in. The cost-to-benefit ratio of this building is unsettling. When I first toured in mid-August 2025, I was repeatedly told that units listed as vacant online were unavailable to view, leaving me no choice but to sign a lease sight unseen. On move-in day, no staff member escorted me to my unit, nor informed me of my mailbox number, nor explained how to utilize the key fob to access the garage. I was also overcharged for move-in fees, which took over a month to be refunded. Security is another major concern. The ground-floor entrance from the garage is often left unlocked, allowing anyone to enter from the street. Shortly after I moved out, local news reported package thefts in the building. Additionally, doors connecting the garage to residential hallways on upper floors have no locks. Car br

The location of Spectrum South End is very convenient. It is within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops, and the nearby light rail station makes it easy to explore other parts of the city. The fitness center is well-equipped with a variety of cardio and strength training equipment. I also appreciate the fact that the gym is open 24/7, which allows me to work out whenever it's most convenient for me. The outdoor pool is a perfect place to relax on a sunny day. I have also been very impressed with the leasing office consultants at this apartment complex. They are always friendly, professional, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs are met. I had a wonderful experience living at Spectrum South End Apartments. The management team, including Charrelle, Madi, and Jamie, were incredibly helpful and always available when I needed assistance. They were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to address any concerns or questions I had. The apartment complex itself was fantastic, with modern amenities and well-maintained grounds.
