Completely agree with the prior review — and all potential future tenants should disregard reviews from more than 18 months ago. Put simply, do not live here now. Things have declined precipitously since Borger took over, hence the many vacant apartments at present. Borger does not timely address significant security and safety issues, at times denying that obvious issues exist. This includes security concerns related to the loading dock, very loud elevators that vibrate and are not possibly safe, washers/dryers that are broken for months, and covering up building smoke alarms. They also will no longer allow deliveries to your door due to management’s inability or unwillingness to monitor couriers like other buildings in every major city. This was previously a great building with managem

I used to love living in Corcoran House until Borger Residential took over management of the building. Almost immediately upon their purchase of the building chronic disrepair became an issue. Washers and dryers that are constantly broken, unreliable hot water, elevators that rattle the apartment walls, and hallway smoke detectors wrapped in plastic bags by management are just a few of the issues of living in Corcoran House now. I now advise friends and acquaintances looking for an apartment in DC to steer clear of Corcoran House and any other property managed by Borger. The huge premium charged to live in this location is not worth their inability or unwillingness to keep up with basic maintenance.

I was a resident of Corcoran House for over two years and absolutely loved it! The staff is impeccable! They make u feel right at home from the first day. The apartments are spacious for a studio and wonderfully maintained. My view was fantastic facing 18th street. The location is walking distance to everything but relatively quiet. Maintenance requests are answered immediately and I can honestly say ever person working at the front desk is so welcoming. Special shout out to John who has your package before you can even ask. Damon - the building manager- knows the building inside and out and is so helpful in addressing any concerns. It’s so nice to knows your building manager is someone u can trust. Also, the rooftop is simple with fantastic views. The people who reside at Corcoran house

I lived at Corcoran House for over four years in a studio, and couldn't have been happier. I ended up moving because I personally wanted a larger one bedroom space. Frank summarized notes: good neighborhood vibes. Rent is a little overpriced for the market, but the location balances out. No surprise fees. I had no pest issues at all—my absolute biggest un-compromisable requirement, personally. The walls are thick and made of concrete, so no noise issues from neighbors. Close to nightlife (flipside: on some weekend nights there's noise from people walking up/down 18th street, but not horrible, and to be expected for any apartment in Dupont / downtown DC generally imo). Never had any package theft. Building community has a good spread of young professionals, young families, and some older f

Corcoran House is wonderful. I love living here so much. It's in the middle of Dupont Circle with all the fun attractions and restaurants and museums that go with it. Minutes from the metro. The staff is amazing and the 24 hour concierge is a terrific thing to have-especially when dropping off dry cleaning, laundry, or picking up packages. The rooftop deck is beautiful in summer, and the maintenance staff is so efficient, friendly, and competent. It's pet friendly too which is a huge bonus as I have two kitties! It is a rent-controlled building so the rent is cheaper than the rest of DC apartments, which are extremely expensive. The residents are so nice and everyone loves living here. Come check it out-you'll end up staying!
