The unit itself is fine and we enjoy our space, but there have been growing security concerns in the short time we’ve lived here. I want to be clear that the incidents I’ve experienced — including vandalism and theft from my locked bike — go beyond a one-off issue. These events have made me feel unsafe, and I’m increasingly uncomfortable with the lack of effective security on the property. Even after reporting these incidents to both the police and property management, no additional security measures have been implemented. Instead, I’ve found that my concerns were minimized. We have been here for almost a year and have nothing but good experiences. Management has been great. The maintenance crew are quick to fix anything and always friendly. The price of the apartments with the amount of room you get, while being a great quality apartment, is extremely fair, especially considering the price of rent in Bend. You do only get one parking spot. We have not had any troubles finding parking and even when we've had guests over, street parking has always been available.

Location is great and convenient. We personally loved having the trailhead to Pilot Butte at our front door. We also liked that there are trees planted around the units that offer natural cover/privacy. Management and maintenance were nice people but weren’t always responsive to our needs. The units look decent but are made with cheap materials. The appliances are average. You can hear your neighbors through the walls, floors, and ceiling. We awoke many times to conversations around us or footsteps above us at unfortunate hours. Pilot Butte is a busy park so expect a decent amount of street noise too, even before the park gates open. The apartment parking lot isn’t regularly monitored on the weekends, so good luck finding a spot on Friday or Saturday night if you don’t have a reserved spot

Stayed with The Commons for over four years while attending school. I can honestly say that the management there is some of the best I've seen. They are quick to resolve any issues, kind, and always willing to do what they could to help us out! The apartments were clean, newly renovated and cozy, which made it feel like home. The maintenance team was fast on repairs, friendly and kept the complex looking nice. If I found myself in Bend once more, I would hope to stay there again. Thank you Jessica and Leanna for making it an unforgettable stay!
