Columbia Square Apartments

If you have to choose between homelessness and living anywhere else don’t live here. My son and family lived here for two years and finally got out. First of many things mice, rats, roaches, bed bugs, black mold and non working appliances and showers and toilets. After writing numerous work orders and being ignored the main office manager writes out fees for fines that never existed but what is a tenant supposed to do? Then it continues this place is so bad they lose section 8 funding and to some it up they do as little as possible the case manager for us won’t help. They got fined more fees that love for Columbia did pay. Now we left. And every time Columbia housing is contacted about renting they say we owe them $20,000 in damages!! And fees. So they are having a difficult time renting

I do not recommend living here. There have been mice, spiders, slugs, and pregnant cockroaches in my home. The paint peels off when washing the walls, and no one answers the phone or fixes anything when asked. I lived here for three years without air, and the dishwashers and microwaves never worked properly. The toilets stop working every other day, and they move people in without fully fixing the apartments then they will charge you a fortune when moving out. This place is not safe, with frequent violence, and when people move out, they are terrified to take everything out due to the presence of dead mice in their belongings. Update 03/18/2024 so Gina no longer works here apparently as of a month ago. She is reading my review and now harassing me on Facebook messenger claiming that all the damage her and her boyfriend Johnny did to my apartment making them fail city inspection is my fault. Gina is a child . I gave them 1 star because I have to. This place was alright when I moved in over 3 years ago but over the last 2 years we've had a revolving door of managers. We went almost a year with no landscapers and 8 months with no maintenance personnel. Now we have Gina back and the place has really gone down hill. They cut a hole in my bathroom wall August 2023 to work on my neighbors plumbing and just sent 5 guys to patch it February 2024 and all the while the black mold was escaping from the hole. Not a safe place for kids to live!! They prioritize the wrong things my ac unit has been broken since august of 2024 it’s almost July of 2025 almost a whole year n there talkin about it’s gonna take 30 days from not to get it fixed in this 100 degree weather!!!! Dont live here unless this is ur last thing u have to help get shelter!!

Anyone can apply, for people who have limited income, goes by your income. You go apply on your lunch break, Monday through Friday they do take an hour lunch break. The apartments are renovated and not crime ridden like it used to be! Safe for families now, they have very few 1 bedrooms, but also have 2 and 3 bedrooms, playground, on bus route, central location. Very nice office employees who make you feel great and at ease. They really want to help you get back on your feet. The wait list is kinda long but frankly they work through it very quickly. So doesn't seem long at all.
