Columbia Peoplestown

Great size apartments , great monthly rate, great location. HORRIBLE ROACH PROBLEM. The roaches literally met us at the door. I feel as if I am invading their space. Before I added furniture or food there was an abundance of roaches primarily in the kitchen area coming from the cabinets, behind the stove, and even the sink. I reported this to leasing and requested an exterminator come. TWO WEEKS LATER one finally came, the roaches disappeared for MAYBE a month. The buildings are old and I’m convinced the roaches live in the pipes and walls. Nonetheless, the apartment complex is not horrible , but the roaches are worth noting. I have to kill AT LEAST ONE per day no matter how much roach killer spray , and no matter how clean I keep my place (professionally cleaned once per week)

I placed a work order for maintenance to fix the light inside my master bedroom closet a week before Thanksgiving, it has been a month now and the repairs have not been addressed. The month before, I placed a work order to have my lights replaced in my kitchen, it took 3 weeks for them to fix the lights. A simple replacement of bulbs was the only thing needed, yet they seem to ignore my request. I call every week to remind them. At this point I feel as though it's personal, but I have no clue as to why. I pay my rent on time and I keep my unit in tact. My perception is, management doesn't care. This is unfortunate, because I have always liked my community, but the feeling from Columbia is not mutual.

I've been here almost a year now I had to really do what was called a emergency move in after the landlord sold his property that I was living in after 12 year's,,, I had to find a place ASAP after he sold his home because the new owner didn't want to keep it under AHA anymore,, and they wanted the property vacant,,,,, Mr.Hosa worked hard on getting my application approved after me finding out about this community and accommodating me with a unit on the bottom level with no kids above me or in the building he had available upond my move in under my request, I asked for peace with no kids or young adults stumping over my head or kids running up and down the stairs as I had experienced before from being in a appartment I knew what I wanted and what I didn't want and Mr Hosa made sure I got

This place is German roach infested!!!! You can constantly email & call & they still dont do nothing about it!!!! The pest control comes & sprays like every other month!!! Im using all kind of products & chemicals!!! The very first day it was bugs everywhere!!!! They are doing nothing about it please do not move here!!!! Very unprofessional & they dont care!!! The leasing office just tells you the same thing over and over!!!! Paying for bugs!!!! I need a higher power to step in & look at these apartments because this is unacceptable!!!!

BE AWARE BUGSSS ROACHES INFESTED!!!!!Apartment buildings are infested with roaches / bugs, no matter how many times pest control comes out which pest control doesn’t do anything they keep coming so many roaches. everybody in my building say they have them very bad, State How they apartment is so infested with so many Roaches it’s Disgusting. It’s sad how earth as a community have to live with roaches infested throughout the apartment building. They are outside and inside. I highly do not recommend moving to this property. They are not trying to do anything about this matter.
