Brian Seaborn and the Cobalt team have been AMAZING from the application process through my three years as a resident. I can only hope the next team is as transparent, respectful, and helpful as they have been. Very efficient, very thorough, & always quick with responses to any matter. They towed my car when I paid for their parking fee because a neighbor said I never moved it (I bike everywhere and work in that area). This is the response from Kayla Ibarra that works for Cobalt “The issue is, other residents are also actively paying for parking, and a car not being used takes up a valuable space. The parking lot is limited and not able to support a car not being actively used”. I pay for parking. I pay for rent. I can use my car when I want. They let a towing company steal my vehicle and I have not gotten it back. They also lie about the cost. Somehow when I go to finalize my lease there’s a charge that says “Fee $100”. I was very interested in Cobalt properties as I've been seeing their properties for years. I finally found something I'm very interested in that was available May 3rd and was requesting to view it for weeks. I did not hear anything from anyone. I visit the website today and the property is no longer listed. I reached out to Eli via phone call twice, no answer. Sent him messages in chat he responded to say the property was no longer available, already leased, and nothing he could tell me My question is... HOW IS SOMETHING THAT IS AVAILABLE ON MAY 3RD LEASED ALREADY. I'm sure no one is leasing a property without viewing it. I didn't even hear anything back as far as viewing the property... I emailed to inquire about renting a place. I asked a ton of questions because we would have to sign a lease without seeing the unit. The agent who responded acted like she didn’t know the answer to half of my questions and dismissed the other half. When I asked again about if it was possible to see the unit, I got ghosted. Super sketchy, made it seem like they’re trying to rent out crappy units. Do not recommend. And one more thing, if these people try to get you to pay a security deposit without seeing the actual property, that’s illegal in Georgia. according to real estate law you have to let a tenant see the physical space they will be renting before paying a security deposit. Management is balancing communication between renters and owners and sure it is a huge challenge sometimes but I am thankful for Pam and Nicole for coordinating a repair for a water issue at my apartment! The apartment I am in was built is the 60s and the old plumbing was struggling with getting cold water delivered to my faucets (something to just note and be aware of as a renter)! It took about a month and several plumbers visiting due to my water issue being a larger maintenance project but Pam and Nicole got this issue resolved for me! Thankful for them!!
