A++++ service and a thorough orientation tour of the apartment the day I moved in. Cleveland House is a class act. I moved from NYC and I feel like I’m treated as a person again! (Not just a monthly check writer.) So happy to be here! Cleveland House is the best residence I've ever lived in. The staff is wonderful, they actually care about helping with any issues that come up, whether it be the concierge helping with packages or the service team repairing or adjusting a mechanical problem. Choosing to live here was one of the best decisions of my entire life. Seriously. Our hall closet sliding doors were somehow installed in such a way that they kept going off track and were unstable. Soon after requesting it to be fixed they were not only adjusted but completely reworked so that they n
It’s fine. If you like your apartment to be less than 80 degrees inside in the spring and fall, don’t move here. They don’t follow the DC laws about the central AC being on and they don’t care when you confront them about this! All the gym equipment and laundry machines are super outdated and almost always there is something broken. Front desk staff is amazing though. Maintenance is okay… also the building has a mold issue.
So sadly I’m having to change what was a 5 star review to a 1 star review. We lived here years ago and came back for a year. This is what we felt with- rats, water damage, asbestos, theft, unethical landlords, and theft of our deposit. We had constant rat problems. None of the doors locked so someone stole our bike and other items out of our cars. We had water dripping down the walls and when they opened it up, we had to deal with asbestos (with a one week old baby). The landlords decided to take our deposit even though we had the place professionally cleaned, and their policies are unethical. The entire building smells like cat and dog urine during the summer and the place is filthy. I very much caution anyone considering moving here. The only good thing about this place was the front d
I’ve lived at Cleveland house for the past 2 years and I have nothing but great things to say. The building has wonderful staff who truly go above and beyond. The apartments are nice and well appointed! It’s a very cozy and quiet community tucked in one of the best neighborhoods in DC :) the building is older but the bathrooms and kitchen are updated, but you still have some of the lovely historic touches like original wood flooring! The natural light is wonderful and enhances the space greatly. There’s a real feeling of community amongst residents, many have lived in the building for years if not decades. I love having friends in the building and friendly neighbors who greet me when I’m out and about in the area. Huge shoutout to Tye, Jaime, Michael, and Michelle for being the most outst
I have lived at Cleveland House for 2 years now. The staff has been amazing the whole time I have resided here. Dan, the community manager, was very accommodating in finding an apartment that met our needs. Ty and Michelle were amazing front desk associates. Francis and the maintenance team are sweet and so efficient! Older building, but everything that you need in an apartment complex – on the edge of the city is calm. If we didn’t need a location change, I would stay here much longer. Thank you all! **Update. Big downfall of this building is that management does not make the switch over to AC soon enough. Weeks of 80+ degree days is very unsafe for tenants and pets.
