If I could give zero stars, I would. Clements Bay Management Group is easily the worst management company I’ve ever dealt with, and their property manager has been completely ineffective for years. For over five years, I’ve reported that cars constantly park in my assigned parking space, and nothing has been done to fix it. The so-called towing company, Mach 5 Towing, openly told me they don’t have to tow for residents because it’s not in their contract with Clements Bay. Let that sink in — the management company didn’t bother to ensure the towing company would actually protect residents’ parking spaces. I am a resident of the Dorchester Neighborhood, and I am writing to express my serious concerns and formal complaint regarding the conduct and operations of your management company. Nearly two months into the pool season without any issues, my household was denied access to the community pool under the claim that our HOA account "was not paid." This was not only inaccurate but entirely unacceptable. Our payment and all required forms were submitted on time. Yet, when I contacted your office for clarification, I was repeatedly told, “Your account has not been paid.” This raises serious questions: Where did our payment go? I am a real estate agent that has helped several clients purchase homes in communities where Clements Bay is the management company. I also owned an investment property in Indian Head where Clements Bay managed the community. As an agent, I am constantly working with all kinds of HOAs and condo associations to help get sellers to closing. Most of these associations do not move at the speed agents would like them to in order to get sellers to the closing table. Associations - especially the larger ones - can also be unresponsive and very challenging to work with due to the volume of requests they receive. For over a year now I’ve been trying to get Clements Bay Group to address why they allow some of my neighbors to use the cul de sac as a basketball court/playground, parking lot for up to 6 cars from dust to dawn, and car repair garage for up to 6 cars at a time 2 or 3 times per month. These things are against Ashford Oaks Waldorf HOA guidelines and the La Plata office has done absolutely nothing but pretend concern on the phone the 3 or 4 separate times I called and an email saying these things take time and don’t do anything. I guess 15-16 years of an illegal basketball goal set up in the street, and 5-6 years of cars parked along the interior of the cul de sac, making it a dead end road, IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO ENFORCE HOA GUIDELINES. Very disgusting. This HOA does not even want the residents who are paying the HOA to use the pool...that is why the pool is always so empty. They have you on a payment plan that is reached by both parties, yet they will not allow pool access when they can clearly see that payments are being made according to the payment plan. I've lived in many HOA communities before and have never seen anything so ridiculous.
