City Plat is the owner of the parking lot at 504 Hillsborough Street. They have contracted with PRRS, which is a quite predatory parking lot management company. My wife and I ate at Press and she parked in the lot in question. We walked to the car after a quick meal which was a little under an hour. We then had a difficult conversation standing at her car (she was having a very hard day) which took about 45min. We were standing right there, so didn't worry about extending the parking. Well, we found out they take pictures of your car on the way in and out and we got a fine for $55. But it's "not a fine" ... It's a "Notice of non-compliance" because we "breached the terms of the contract we agreed to when we entered the lot." We will be avoiding parking at this lot ever again.
