We recently sold our home and had Chicago title assisting us. We were working directly with our agent Kristen whom unfortunately, we had a difficult time working with. We had a notary come to the house, however during the signing process, there were a few things that we needed to look into on our end therefore, we needed to take the final remaining documents into the office. We had to ask our escrow officer a few questions and she was very quick and dismissive towards assisting us or answering questions. It got to the point where we asked if we could come in and eat with her for a few minutes just to ensure everything was signed correctly, in which she responded “there’s no point to see each other”. Sorry if duplicate:As per Chicago Title and our Realtor we were on track for closing on January 20, right up to the the afternoon of the 20th when we called for a status on the closing of our home sell when they informed us they had overnighted the documents to our buyer and that maybe they would be back in the office Monday or Tuesday of the following week. No communication prior to this that would indicate closing as scheduled would be a problem. The house we are purchasing and scheduled to move in has now been thrown in to disarray, our moving schedule, our sellers schedule and everything that goes in to moving all because of lack of communication.
