Worked with Alisha, easily the worst experience I’ve ever had. Initially she was responsive to emails but then she dropped the ball with the signing. She scheduled a notary for a cash sale signing when ours was financed so we had to reschedule for the next week, costing us 3 days. After that, she was impossible to get ahold of. We signed the next Monday, she was supposed to overnight some documents for another signing (she had specific written instructions to do so) which she never did. That cost us another 3 days and she was near impossible to get ahold of after that issue. Then that Friday she was supposed to request funds from the mortgage company which she never did because the “links were broken”. My lender informed me that he had to request the funds on her behalf and the links all w

Alisha Word was my Escrow officer. On initial quote, she had $175 for notary fees. I called back and asked about this and was told it was high because of possible “travel expenses”. On signing day it was reduced to $150, which was still high for a notary. I asked to have it corrected to a more accurate number since I went to the office to sign and no “travel” was needed. I was told that it would be resolved when payment was processed. Upon receipt of my final statement, the fee was $100. I had no more than 4 signatures notarized and by the state of California the maximum charge for a notarized signature is $15. As far as I can tell the most I should have been charged was $60 for the notary fees. I have called a couple of times and left messages with no reply. All I wanted was some justific

Unprofessional staff. Never returned my calls or emails, and the bummer part is that our borrower felt the lack of customer services skills. I feel that I must give this feedback to make people realize that in this business it is a team work and we must all work together, bottom line it is our job to provide excellent service to all clients regardless their ethnicity.

Worked with Alisha Word on an escrow recently closed. I've worked with many escrow companies in the area and most get the job done. This experience would rank as the worst in terms of communication. Spoke to Alisha a handful of times but the communications were initiated by me asking about schedule, status, etc. I would agree with the other review to steer clear of Chicago Title of Oakdale.
