I have lived at Chesapeake Apartments for the past five years and I really love it here. I have always felt safe, supported, and well taken care of. Rhonda Drummond, property manager, has consistently demonstrated such a high level of integrity, efficiency, and honesty, which is very important to me. She is available and responsive, and offers clear and timely communication about anything happening on the property. She has such a warm and caring energy that I have come to lovingly address her as "Mama Rhonda". The office staff and maintenance team are all professional, competent, and friendly, particularly Bruce, Luis, and Chris. Chesapeake Apartments located in the Clearwater/Dunedin area is in an excellent location, close to the beaches yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. The rent is very competitive with other properties in the area. It’s a pet friendly property that has the feel of a park-like setting. Friendly neighbors, very good maintenance staff, and a good management team. The worse part is the issue of tenants not cleaning up after their dogs, and the frequent shut off of the water due to eroding pipes.
*** HONEST REVIEW PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND READ. I lived here from March 22nd 2024-Febuary 2025. They have units tented every week for termites, flooding issues, and they shut off the water at least 3-5x a month. Maintenance men would enter apartments with no warning, once when I was in my bed sleeping undressed. And the property manager Rhonda blamed me for it. Rhonda also has several issues. She’ll hide fees and make you feel stupid bringing them up later acting like you’re in the wrong. She’s a truly awful human being and she has NO SOUL. Clearly since she sells people termite infested apartments with a smile on her face. RUN FAR AWAY. IF YOU WANT CHEAPER APARTMENTS YOU CAN AND WILL FIND BETTER!!
I’ve lived at Chesapeake apartments for 5 years. Overall it’s been a positive experience with good maintenance and friendly neighbors. I am leaving this review for Rhonda Drummond who helped me yesterday in a tough situation. My payment portal was shut down without any communication or notice leaving me unable to pay my rent on time. Due to realizing after hours, I had no time to get a money order or go to the office. Rhonda advocated on my behalf to Burton Carol Management and resolved the situation for me. Thank you again Rhonda for your care and dedication to our community. Many people are on hard times doing their best to keep above water. Many residents have lived here for years, including myself, and these small actions of care and attention matter.
Posted on behalf of my mom: Carman Moore - I moved into Chesapeake Bay in October of 2018. During my time there I rarely called maintenance and was a good neighbor. No complaints, rarely used the community facilities and caused no issues for the complex. We kept to ourselves (myself, my dog and cat) and minded our own business. Upon moving out I gave notice according to my lease and paid the equivalent of two months rent ahead of time since I was leaving before the end of my lease. I left in the middle of December 2020. Total upon move in I paid $400 deposit, and a $450 pet fee, and then $20/mo pet rent. I was given notice when I left that I still owed $20, which isn't a lot of money but noticed in the breakdown that they sent me my pet fee/rent was not being used anywhere, including on
