Cherokee County Tax Office

I’ve been going here for years. It’s the same every time. Just the nicest , knowledgeable people. I don’t understand the negative comments. Negative comments usually start with the person having a bad day, long before arriving, and or the customer couldn’t accomplish what wasn’t allowed. Cheer up people.

An absolute pleasure to deal with. Courteous, efficient, and an easy process getting my vehicle titled. Do your homework, bring all the paperwork required, and the process won't take but 10 minutes. So nice to see a county office run this smoothly.

I was told that they can't process more than two registrations at a time because yesterday was a holiday and they took off for the holiday so they were just too "busy" to do more than two registrations- despite there being two customers there - counting me. If they don't do registrations there (in other words, collect taxes), what do they do - besides take days off?

The most caring, respectful and efficient government office I've ever dealt with! WOW! Very impressed! Went to get my vehicle registered, from out of state. All of the ladies, helping, not only, myself, but others, were amazing! The office was busy, but they were so calm. Gave me tips, when I asked a question, I needed and I left with my plates, registration and not dreading my next visit. Looking forward, to it, actually. So impressed!

If you're leaving work early, do it in the middle of the day because they frequently close their doors before they close at 4:30. They will lie and say they don't but then they will turn around and say well if we do, it's only a few minutes early. I have had it happen 5 minutes early, 13 minutes early, and 22 minutes early. I'd love to think that it's just that their watches are wrong, but it seems to be tied to how many people are there and then wanting to close the door at 4:30. So unless you're able to predict that, you might need to go in the middle of the day.
