Chelsea Centro

The doormen and porters are incredible at Chelsea Centro. The place is always clean, and maintenance requests are addressed immediately. There are two gyms that are wonderful. The laundry room can get full at peak hours, but I was usually able to always get a machine (early on Sunday is the best time to go). Great view of the empire state building from the roof. The only complaints I have is the management company. They are completely inflexible and do not treat you like a human. They increased the rent of our apartment by $500 in one year. We moved out.

I lived at Chelsea Centro for two years (ages 23–25) and had a truly wonderful experience. The only reason I’m leaving is because I’m heading to grad school — otherwise, I’d have happily stayed. The building is full of friendly doormen who always made coming home feel welcoming. The amenities are top-notch: the rooftop is such a gem for reading, lounging, or hosting a summer dinner party, and the third-floor patio is another underrated spot to hang out, play games, or just relax with friends. The building has a young, vibrant feel and is super well-situated — above a quiet stretch of 26th Street but walkable to tons of food, coffee, and essentials. Absolute GOATED staff at Centro. John and James are the best and will treat you like family. Lived there for a couple years and loved the building, amenities, and location. Spacious rooms fair prices
