😡😡😡😡VERY SHADY BUSINESS. SCUMMY BUSINESS PRACTICES. I WAS OVERCHARGED $457.00 IN PROPERTY TAXES WHEN I SOLD A HOUSE ON 12/01/2025. THE 2025 TAXES THAT WERE COLLECTED AT CLOSING WERE NOT PRORATED CORRECTLY. I HAVE ALL OF THE PROOF AS DOES THE LANCASTER COUNTY TREASURER, THE NEBRASKA DEPT. OF INS., ETC., BUT SINCE I ASSUMED THAT CHARTER TITLE WAS REPUTABLE AND HONEST I SIGNED THE CLOSING STATEMENT AND NOW CHARTER HAS REFUSED TO GIVE BACK THE OVERPAYMENT THAT THEY INTENTIONALLY PRORATED A FALSE NUMBER. (NEBRASKA REALTY WAS INVOLVED IN THIS TRANSACTION AS WELL). VERY VERY UNDERHANDED. BE CAREFUL. I WOULD MAKE SURE TO PUT IN THE CONTRACT THAT NO CHARTER TITLE AND NO NEBRASKA REALTY. My spouse and I have worked with Charter Title multiple times now and they are the best! They make everything so smooth and easy. Everyone is always kind and knowledgeable and ready to help in anyway!

My ex-husband and I were selling our house - there was a lien put on the house due to child support owed to me. I was assured multiple times (she even checked with their "inhouse attorney") that signing the lien release we paid for them to prepare wouldn't wipe out the back child support, it would only take it off that specific property.. so I stupidly signed. I called child support enforcement and was advised to take legal action against them for misleading me so terribly, so I sent an email and have yet to get a response from Charter Title. Very disappointing. To add: I even refused to sign one of the papers they had that stated the debt was all cleared, and was told that was fine.

These folks are the best title company in Nebraska. Justine and Kelcy are hands down the best escrow closers in the business. They work diligently for every client. When there’s a hiccup they’re problem solvers to ensure a successful closing. I will continue to use this title company because their Selfless service is amazing. They give their clients really cool appreciation gifts. Kelcy is also a great listener!

Kim is horrible to work with, we were "forced" to go with them since the buyer's chose them. I bet they regret that since it took them months to get the taxes payed after Kim made a mistake and not only that, she wanted us to pay for her mistake. We sold the house in June and I was still getting emails from her on October. Unreliable and unprofessional, I'm glad Hamilton County agreed and sided with me, otherwise I would still be fighting this.
