Century Hampton Roads Apartments

Overall nice place to stay. There is a communications issue between office, maintenance, and resident that could be improved. Office & Maintenance staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Amenities are nice, but trash collection could be improved. I will be renewing my lease.

I moved here when it was still called Hampton Roads Crossing. I would give that company a 10/10. They fixed your issues, built personal relationships with tenants and always had fun things going on around the property. They sold the property in January and it’s been downhill from there. There was a time they didn’t even have a manager in office to express my concerns to. I came home one day to a large hole in my wall with pipes showing. I called emergency maintenance for an explanation and the call wouldn’t even connect. I didn’t receive any notice that someone would be entering my apartment and they did nothing to fix the issue, or even apologize. The office hours suck, the new apartment portal sucks. I'm more than grateful to have moved here. I've been looking since April of this year and have been turned down by so many places. Soon as I spoke to the guy at the desk he was helpful he even showed me a 2 bedroom which I was looking for a 3 bedroom but that was ok. I applied and got the phone call for a move in date and had no issues at all. Everyone I have spoke with have been so polite and professional I definitely like that! My only issue was how my neighbor introduced herself she was asking alot of questions which I don't mind but at least introduce yourself first say your name or something don't be asking me alot of questions. But overall I like it here!!!

The application process was a little daunting. We were planning to marry, and I move date was the same day that we went to the justice of the peace and we were applying from two separate states …However, once we met with the representative to do our move-in. The process went extremely smooth in person. The apartment meets our expectations expressly since we moved in without touring it first.

When the property was Hampton Roads Crossing it was a pretty good experience. Since transitioning to Century Hampton Roads it’s been pretty downhill. It takes weeks for maintenance to respond to requests, office staff can be pretty rude, there’s an increase of bugs in the apartments, major decrease in community events, and there is almost always bags of trash outside of some apartments with this flawed trash service they have. Overall I wouldn’t consider this complex worth the price since it became Century Hampton Roads!!
