I lived at Central Island Square for seven months, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. From the beginning, I was treated disrespectfully and felt like a second-class resident. Communication from staff was often condescending, and several interactions crossed the line into unprofessional behavior. Overall, the staff appeared poorly trained and ill-equipped to handle resident concerns. Rachel, who was presented as the head of the office, was frequently unavailable—often out of the office or on vacation. When issues were raised, responses were dismissive and problem-solving was ineffective. Central Island Square Apartments is an amazing community. The amenities are impressive, the location is fantastic, and the entire area is extremely walkable. Groceries, restaurants, and fun activities are only a short walk away, which makes life a lot easier. One of the best parts of the community seems to be the connection to the surrounding neighborhood. Residents receive discounts at local businesses, and Daniel Island truly feels like a small town tucked into the big, charming city of Charleston. The walkability makes it easy to meet people, and everyone you run into is genuinely friendly and welcoming—you can tell it’s a tight‑knit community. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! The professionalism of both the office staff and maintenance team is outstanding. I’ve lived here for over five years and have never had an issue. The community is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Maintenance requests are handled quickly—usually within 24 hours. The location is unbeatable: Daniel Island is extremely walkable, and Central Island Square is right in the middle of great restaurants and businesses. Highly recommend!
