Public Warning & Formal Complaint – Centennial Properties This review serves as a formal public warning to the community regarding Centennial Properties, its listing agents, and its staff. Based on documented experiences, direct involvement, and a large volume of consistent public reviews on Yelp and Google Maps, this company has engaged in systematic real estate malpractice that has affected more than 80 individuals. These are not isolated incidents — they represent a pattern of misconduct. The actions of Centennial Properties and its representatives constitute clear violations of New York State and New York City real estate laws, including but not limited to: Violation of New York Real Property Law §440-a Providing real estate brokerage services without a valid license, or allowing u
I’ve literally never left a review before and my experience with this company was so bad that I feel it’s actually my civic duty to let people know that these people are criminals. Alex Kulkarni took unauthorized ACH withdrawals directly from my bank account and was dumb enough to sign off the transactions with his own signature “AK.” He is the “legal coordinator” at the company, but for the sake of the greater good of humanity, I hope he never actually went to law school because if he did, he would have learned that withdrawing money from someone’s bank account without authorization is textbook illegal. It really actually does not get simpler than that. For over a month now, I have received 0 communication from anyone at the company regarding this issue, despite my countless attempts. L
Good luck getting your security deposit back. The legally mandated two weeks have passed since I moved out, I have called them probably 30+ times trying to speak with a person about my deposit refund only to be put on endless holds or hung up on. At this point I’m strongly considering filing a claim in small claims court against them, as it is the only avenue I can see for recovering the money they owe me. UPDATE: go to the leasing office in person and refuse to leave until they give you your security deposit back. It may take several hours but it’s the only way to get in contact with them, as they refuse to answer emails or pick up the phone.
We strongly question the professionalism and operational standards of Crystelle Slappy, Listing Agent, and the company she represents. There have been serious and repeated failures in document management, property listings, and overall administration. More than 25 high-importance clients in Manhattan have not received critical documents for weeks, creating unacceptable delays and exposing clients to operational and financial risk. Emails and phone calls are consistently ignored, and there is a complete lack of follow-up or accountability. Due to these ongoing issues, I do not recommend that any investment funds, institutional investors, or high-level clients engage in business with this company. The level of disorganization and lack of communication puts at risk not only transactions, but
My final interactions with Centennial Properties makes me glad I was in their apartment for so short a time that didn’t warrant multiple interactions. My property manager tells me that my security deposit would be sent the next day. Weeks later, it still hasn’t arrived. I message and call him. No response. I call the main office. I’m on hold for over 40 minutes and at that point, have to hang up. I show up at the office, the receptionist tells me to come back the next day and MAYBE the person that signs the checks might be there. I show up the next day at the time she said. She tells me to wait, I wait 30 minutes. Then she says the person is just signing the check. 20 minutes pass, I ask again. The check is just being signed. 20 more minutes pass. The check will be 5 minutes. 10 minutes pa
