Casita Capistrano Aparments

The apartments are charming with nice big balconies on the second floor and nice backyards on the first floor. There are a Smith, Family Dollar, Goodwill a Chinese place and others within a 10 minute walking distance. And it is a quiet place with birds singing all day. I truly can recommend living at Casita Capistrano, it is a lovely place.

Warning to all prospective future tenants: Andrew Kaye (current owner) is a slumlord and a thief. In just 10 months here, I experienced: Water shutoff by the city to the entire property due to Andrew lapsing on payment. Water shutoff in my unit for a weekend for reasons never explained. No hot water in my unit for 3 weeks. 2 vacant units below me being broken into and inhabited by squatters who turned the units into drug dens and made the premises unsafe for months on end before any action was taken. Laundry units stolen by squatters and not replaced. Several of the actual tenants were unemployed section 8 drug addicts/dealers and there’d be homeless coming and going from their units, plateless cars idling in the parking lot at night, deals going on, and screaming and arguing all the time
