Casas de Santa Fe

There were many nice things about the property we rented through VRBO with Casas de Santa Fe. While Casas de Santa Fe let us know the tub in the master bath was undergoing repairs and they refunded a night’s stay for the trouble, we were assured to shower was useable. Yes, the water came on but the shower was in poor repair and there was mold everywhere making it unusable. See photos. I was provided no opportunity to review the property post stay as usually happens with VRBO. Attempts to make our concerns known to Casas de Santa Fe have not been acknowledged.

We rented a property through Casas De Santa Fe (304 Lomita St) for 14 months. During the rental period, our experience was generally smooth, and I would have given a 4–5 star review based on that alone. Unfortunately, the issues began once we moved out — despite having paid for a professional move-out cleaning and carpet cleaning. It's important to note that although Casas De Santa Fe manages the property and collects rent, they ultimately defer to the property owner when it comes to final decisions (at least in our case) — including the condition of the home upon return. In our case, this led to unexpected and unfair charges. We were billed $325 for touch-up painting, even though we had patched and attempted to match the paint ourselves. The problem? Do not expect anything to be repaired and then expect to be charged for damage that was there at move-in. They waited until after the last-minute (31 days after move-out) to partially refund my security deposit, but kept $900 for damage that was clearly listed in the move-in report. When I complained, I got no response until after I sent them the small-claims court form. Then, they admitted "I did double check your move-in report, you are absolutely right that all of the nail/screw holes in the walls.", and so now they are keeping $300. How do they claim to be a professional management company if they do not even check the move-in report? I already paid $36,000 in rent over the year, so why do they need to squeeze another $900 out of me at a time when I have a lot of moving expenses to pay

We had a great stay at Bishop`s Lodge Villa 43E. A beautiful, comfortable property with amazing views. The staff at Casas de Santa Fe was responsive and helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

Casas de Santa fe has managed my property now for over 10 years. Property management is an incredibly difficult business. Based on my 10 plus years of experience they deserve a 10 star rating in every category. I absolutely cannot imagine anyone doing a better job.
