Cartier Building New York NY

I’ve noticed that the sales staff at Cartier Fifth Avenue sometimes have a less-than-pleasant attitude. They should understand that Cartier exists all over the world, and customers can easily buy what they want from their local boutique. I don’t live in Manhattan, but I love purchasing a luxury souvenir on my visits. When people choose to shop at the Fifth Avenue location, it’s often for the experience and to buy something memorable from the city. The staff should adjust their attitude accordingly.

Unfortunately experienced bad customer service as numerous others had mentioned in their reviews. Wait time was over 40 mins and we were told it will be 20 mins without anyone coming up to update, except to offer a drink. Super upsell experience with one sales person without real focus on the fit of the item purchased. I had to return to the store to exchange for a better fit and the second sales person, Dominique, had a huge attitude when a simple mistake was made in saying her name. Even Target has nicer employees. Also, they don't take Apple Pay. At this time and age? Other than grand facade of the store, the building, its former history and the red boxes, the "attitude" of the employees and the customer service is so far below par. A huge disappointment.

We came with my wife to buy glasses, it was very hot outside, but no one offered us water. We had to wait for a very long time, and the service was very poor.

Located on 5th Avenue, the Cartier Building is such a stunning structure!! The building was erected in 1904 and was acquired in 1917 by Messrs. Cartier - wherein, it began to house the firm of Cartier. If you’re on 5th Avenue, plan to do a little walk-by to enjoy the architecture!!
