Lived at the Oaks at 35 Apt in San Marcos briefly in 2022- 2023, whom was managed by Capstone. Moved out with no outstanding balance. Surprisingly, received a collection call from National Credit Systems (collection agency) two months after I moved out. The collection agency described charges that didn’t make sense. “Missing key and gate clicker”- I returned this to the leasing manager. “Damaged door”- there was no damage done to the door. “Missing bed frame” - I have email communication saved from the leasing manager Emmy Baustian that disproves this. Someone at Capstone management mixed up their unit numbers. My lease was for unit 214 and the statement with the charges assessed is for unit 240. Very dissatisfied at how unprofessional and deceptive the management is at this location. Prejudice towards anyone with a criminal background whatsoever no matter if it's non violent and over a decade ago. The apartment manager flat out lies and tries to have your vehicles towed at first chance and will lie about things on the spot to make it look as if you violated policies. She was very malicious and never notified anyone of anything but claimed she did. I confronted her and then refused to communicate at all through phone and then takes days email back. She is and charges you more than legally allowed and then revoked your parking pass to try and have your vehicle towed for her commission. There is charges for anything and you can be violated for any reason they feel. Completely illegal

In dispute about move out charges at Creekview at 61st and dealt with the on-site manager, Marissa Armelin. Unfortunately, the experience was unprofessional, inconsistent, and extremely frustrating. I requested an itemized breakdown of move-out charges, and her response was: “I could have charged you more but I didn’t.” That statement alone raises serious questions about how charges are being decided. Despite repeated requests, I was never provided detailed receipts, vendor invoices, or proof of actual damage. Instead I saw large fees applied with little documentation. When I submitted timestamped photos showing pre-existing conditions that were clearly present when we moved in, Marissa refused to adjust the charges. The worst management company I have EVER dealt. When you can actually get ahold of these people they're rude, inconsiderate, and downright unhelpful. This entire company clearly needs to be shut down because y'all cannot do your jobs. I'm stuck with y'all in Killeen and cannot wait for my lease to end. The note from the owner about "hands on" is absolute BS, no one ever bothers to show up to our complex except for last minute mandatory inspections where they refuse to give their names. They put over $2k on my credit, they billed me after my lease was up and after I moved out. I have all of the evidence stating I gave my notice. I’ve called their number at least 300 times and left voicemails for at least 20 people. I finally started looking up employees on Facebook and messaging them and got a response from one lady who seemed very helpful, but this is still on my credit and not resolved, and still nobody has gotten back with me. Absolutely ridiculous I see the company replying to some of these reviews, If anyone see this, will you please contact me asap.
