Customer Reviews
Residents of the Capital Plaza Apartments know this building for its steady order and care, and a big reason is the work of Pam. She is the Property Manager at Capital Plaza Properties, LLC. During my stay, she has been dependable and highly skilled, showing great professionalism in both operations and communication. Pam provided thoughtful support during my move-in period, answered questions clearly, and helped solve issues quickly, with patience and sincerity. The building maintenance, safety checks, and community environment are all very well handled. The lobby is clean, peaceful, and welcoming, the facilities are well organized, and the overall condition of the apartments reflects real effort in upkeep and planning. Pam is an impressive professional and a truly kind person who cares a
Great living experience here!! The building is a bit old but it is at a great location super close to the center of the city and Georgetown law center. Special thanks to Pam, the manager of the building, who took care of our personal needs very well. And I’m always so impressed by her memory of knowing what we’ve asked her before and whose package had came. She’d remind us to pick our packages up without delay. This is best part about living here: knowing that the manager cares about your needs and will respond to them.
Building is quite old and my husband and I found the “nuclear bunker” sign outside quite charming. Nevertheless, despite its age the interior is always clean and kept. There’s is always someone cleaning the lobby every morning and the key pass doors do help -security wise. The location of the building is stellar if you have anything to do in the capital hill area, and it is only a short walk from all the main museums and downtown area. Capital Plaza offers a variety of amenities, from gym to laundry room. The gym is nice for its size, but my main issue is with the aged washers and dryers that did ruin a few of my pants. Additionally, there were a few months back where one of the elevators gave out and stayed out of business for some time so it was a whole mess competing with the neighbor
Starting with Pam, what an awesome place this is! It is steps from Capitol Hill and everything government-related in DC. It is also close many touristy destinations. My daughter stayed here during an internship and the experience was totally flawless. The place is clean, the tenants are welcoming and professional, the lobby is very attractive, the maintenance crew is exceptional, the amenities are always available. Time flew during her stay at Capital Plaza and we highly recommend it. Again, with a manager like Pam, the building runs to perfection.
I've lived in the building since 2006, having known little about it before moving in. The location was perfect for my job to which I can walk in less than 10 minutes. Some initial plusses about living in the building: (1) it's within walking distance to Eastern Market, Gallery Place/Chinatown, and other popular neighborhoods. (2) a sense community exists among the building's tenants who have lived in the building for more that a couple decades -- and the staff members (Pam, Tony, etc.) are considered part of this community! Since moving in, the building has come a long way in implementing improvements. Most important, I think, is the remodeling of the lobby, which makes non-tenants passing stop briefly to peer inside. During COVID, a gym was installed in the basement although it was unav
