Canyon View Apartments

This complex is mediocre at best. There are pros and cons with this place just like any other. Some pros are the price and how easy it was to get into the apartment. We found it on a Facebook add and only at $900. Which is great for the current housing market. We were able to take a tour, meet and sign with Tamara (the wife of the owners), and move in with in a week. It holds the minimum of what you would need for apartment like utilities are included in the rent, it has a fridge, oven, microwave, window AC unit, 2 rooms close to the college and that’s about it. Now the cons definitely out way the pros. Starting with the unit and complex itself, the parking lot is terrible. Major pot holes and cracks everywhere. Great apartments. Clean and spacious with enough room for 4 students or one married couple. They come furnished and the rent is comfortably priced. There are almost two parking sport per apartment so most people park out on the street because of that but it's a nice friendly apartment complex.

Apartment itself is OK. Main appeal was the location close to the college. Uses Coin-laundry. Only 4 wifi networks provided for the 16 units, so bandwidth runs low, particularly during peak times. Creaky floors mean you can hear plenty of movement above you if you’re on the lower level (at least in the unit I was in, can’t speak for all of them.) The air conditioning is a bonus. Would have rated 3 stars if not for poor experiences with the landlords; however, I don’t believe those experiences were anecdotal—rather they could happen to any tenet. Bottom line is, these apartment provide OK value commensurate to the money they charge you for rent. The couple that manages/owns these apartments should be spoken to with attention. When discussing a difficult situation, they conveyed a lot of reassurance and told me "not to worry" specifically when inquiring about certain questions regarding leases and security deposits. When it came time to return my deposit, they then disclosed that I wasn't subject to a refund, even though I was told "not to worry" during a phone call before. I was naïve and young at the time, and chose against fighting this battle. Crooked and impious.

The apartment didn't come with a shower curtain or trash cans. The wifi wasn't too good. Probably because it was set up with 4 apartments per router. Other than that, it was average for student housing. Oh, laundry is coin operated by the way.
