Shout out to Jose our maintenance team. He’s a one man show and is doing an awesome job. We’ve been at Cambridge for 10 years and have seen the maintenance team go through staff changes, but he’s fixed sinks, lighting fixtures, bad carpet, blinds, wall outlets, dryers, dishwashers, you name it, he’s on it. He always has a great attitude and communicates well through the resident portal and by phone. I really hope that Essex and Cambridge Park understand how vital he is to the community. Thank you, Jose!

Do NOT sign a lease with them, absolute scam. The apartments and the location are nice — but only if you never plan on moving out. This place is an absolute scam, one star reviews here describe my experience perfectly — it’s the same story all over again. It happened to me, and now the exact same situation has happened to my friends. Say goodbye to your deposit and be ready to set aside another $1,000+ for completely made-up “damages.” We were even charged for repainting the walls, with the office claiming, “We repaint every three years, you lived here for 1.5 years, so you must pay for half.” During the move-out inspection we were told everything was perfect and the only charge would be half of the cleaning fee — that turned out to be a lie. Communicating with their office is beyond frust

Maintenance issues are resolved quickly and so attentively by management staff and the maintenance team. They are the elite in property maintenance and care. Jose, the maintenance supervisor is incredibly dedicated and prompt in assisting us with any of our apartment needs. He is a super hero!

TL;DR Cambridge is GOOD, yet FLAWED - just as many complexes/properties around SD, it will have its problems: namely trash, unruly/unhandled neighbors, and poor insulation. As a first-time renter, I think I had an overall good experience, but many things could have been better. The Good - Nice neighborhood, always felt safe and welcoming (with a police station close by). Never felt a package was in danger of being taken. Great proximity to major parts of SD with groceries, gas, fast food, and Convoy near by - OK in modernity, kitchen was nice w/ pulley faucet, ECO options for the in-unit washer/dryer, and digital AC control. Electric coil stove was OK, living room could've used MUCH better lighting - Maintenance team is absolutely excellent, very responsive and easy to put in requests whe

The maintenance and support staff consistently go above and beyond. They are always fast, responsive, and incredibly efficient at resolving any issues that come up. Jose, the maintenance team supervisor , has been a pleasure to interact with and consistently ensures the complex runs smoothly, all my issues were resolved by the team, I would say, immediately not making me to wait or repeat requests, my today request with AC took less than 5 hours since I posted a ticket. Their hard work is truly appreciated and makes a significant difference. Although, l have some mixed experiences with the complex itself. The only thing that keeps it running is maintenance team. Let me give you a few examples of how the complex is designed: - kitchen ventilation has no exhaust outside - AC heater runs on u
