Bud Starnes & Associates

We rented from Bud for almost 3 years. The issues with the house were the owner's fault not Mr. Starnes. The owner refused to make any repairs and upgrades. When the owner sold the house in the middle of our lease to a large investor who harrassed us so much because we refused to allow them on the property to put boxes on it and a for sale sign (6 months before our lease was up).... we decided to find a new home. We found a new home far from the area we loved and the neighbors who were like family. It was a very sad move for us. Mr. Starnes gave us a wonderful referral letter and has always maintained our rental history with him was flawless, as it was. We appreciated Mr. Starnes for getting our family into a safe home during the big freeze and always being available when we needed him.

I feel that I am a victim of fraud. Bud Starnes has been trying to sell his son’s, Mark Starnes, property for four years. I saw the property on the last day they were accepting bids. Mark Starnes told me I could do what ever I wanted on the property. That was a lie. Further, his father left the restrictions section of the MLS blank. They lied and withheld information. They are using their deceit to try and get my earnest money. They have had a year to make this right, but they have not. I am now going to warn others about how they intentionally withheld information and tried to take my money.

My sister moved in to a house recently that she’s renting from this company, and it is INFESTED with roaches, to the point where I’m going to have to help her clean it and spray AGAIN. It was not cleaned before they moved in, there was still dead roaches everywhere. They were told by SYLVIA that since it wasn’t cleaned at all before they moved in, that they could be reimbursed for a cleaning service. When she went to bring the receipt for the cleaning services, Slyvia back tracked and claimed they never said they would reimburse her. They JUST moved in so they didn’t really have the money to pay for cleaning in the first place. I’ve lived in apartments for years, and it should’ve been cleaned before she moved in. I personally would never rent from these people if they think the condition o

Rented a house through them said we was on well water we are not water was turned off after 2 days of being moved in . Nothing was ever said that we needed propane for the hot water heater finally got it then no water for day number 2 due to water company not knowing what meter is ours . Was told all electric works outside in the outdoor kitchen area and it doesn't SMH

I have lived here for more than two years now and I haven't had any problems. I appreciate the people that work for Bud Starnes and Associates, they have always been helpful and friendly. They are quick with getting any minor issues looked at and/or fixed if needed.
