So I have been living here for just over 2 months now and I have no idea why the reviews are so low. The community is quiet- but everyone is friendly. The area is safe as well. Kareen (the property manager) helped me get everything I needed in order to move in and answered all of my questions. She has been available and helpful whenever I have needed her. Yes- there is only one maintenance man on the property, but Juan is respectful, warm, and responds quickly. I feel comfortable letting him in my apartment when I’m at work because I know exactly who is coming and that he is respectful of my space. He has always been in and out as efficiently as he can manage. I have noticed no issues with pests of any sort- but if you do you just call Kareen and they will send someone out. Pest control is

Brighton Way is a hidden gem. I read all of the reviews before I moved in and the complaints about the water bugs was valid. I however attributed it due to the vast amount of trees surrounding the community. Other than that it was a pleasure renting here. I rarely had a maintenance issue and when I did it was resolved quickly. The staff was pleasant and was willing to do whatever they could to resolve whatever issue I had. The apartments are large and the community is basically quiet no issues with police coming in and out and for two years no notice of breakins. I felt very safe coming and going. If I ever need to rent again I would absolutely make this my first choice.

The reason why I gave this apartment two stars is because the building where I lived for a year has a German roaches infestation that has affected my stay, move (I had to wash and dry every single item) and now my new place. The community is nice and so are the people there. Also, the management is nice but I don't think they took this issue seriously. The pest control service they offer doesn't do anything to resolve the issue. They need to change company. All the nice things about the community become irrelevant when you have this uncomfortable and nasty issue. When I was thinking of moving to Brighton way I read the reviews and someone mentioned a bug infestation. I unfortunately transported a bug in my new place and now I have to call an exterminator that it may cost me lots of money.

This was an incredibly frustrating application process that took weeks longer than it should have due to multiple emails and questions going unanswered. During this process, I asked for assistance in problem-solving and solutions, over the course of several weeks and multiple emails, to issues we were having that were not addressed once. By the time our application was approved, the apartment we had applied to, as we were informed, was no longer available as the tenant had decided to stay. The all around poor communication, lack of support and problem solving, and surprise of not actually having an apartment at the end of this process made this a terrible experience.

It's decent, I have had two issues, one my oven went up in flames and management/maintenance was notified, it took them 2.5 weeks to fix it, and they acted like it was no big deal, then not to mention 2 years in a row that its mid June and no pool is open, smh! Definitely need renovations to the apartment. Location is convenient. Small community, only 10 or so buildings which has been nice. I miss Ernie and Starr. Just wish things were somewhat different for a better experience, compassion goes a long way.
