Briar Chapel by Newland

This review may sound like a paid ad but it isn't! There is really nothing like Briar Chapel anywhere in the Triangle. The lots are small but the neighborhood is designed around being outdoors and having fun on the trails, parks, pools and outdoor amenities. The homes are energy efficient and use green building materials. Quite a few of my clients bought a home in Briar Chapel and I have heard good things. One client told me it was an instant social life. When the first phase of commercial development is completed sometime this year it will be a true walkable community with restaurants and possibly a coffee shop at the entry of the neighborhood.

Incredible community and they did not clear cut all the trees. There are miles and miles of walking/running biking trails, constant events going on at the clubhouse. Resort style pool,truly an incredible area to live

I love this dense neighborhood, the variety of homes and prices as well as the beautiful wooded paths to ride or hike through make this a unique neighborhood. The neighborhood will not be taking ownership of the HOA until more of the neighborhood is sold out, as in any neighborhood. However there are great homes with super floor plans, fabulous pool, club house and work out/meeting rooms available.

Used the trail parking area on the west side of Briar Chapel. Nice lot, which the trail runs through. Finding the continuation of the trail on the south side of the road is tricky. Leave the parking lot, turn right, then go through the intersection. The trail starts right at the corner.

The Briar Chapel community HOA is a disgrace. They are currently attempting to mount justification to destroy a colony of beaver who live in the marshlands outside of Briar Chapel property. Briar Chapel has disabled its Facebook review and comment sections in an attempt to quell the outcry from residents and neighbors, but we are continuing to spread the word about the deplorable behavior of this development group. They are NOT a Green Community!!
